Why I changed my mattress after 4 years.
Aside the fact that it's a cheap brand and the hips area has sunken in by 1 inch and the (unfortunately) Princess me feels the ache recently, there's a bigger reason.
Notice the brown spots on it? They're fungus/mold stains from my sweat in my most horrible years in health.
I sweat alot at night in my sleep until I discovered dehumidifier + the way to my health turnaround.
Human sweat captured by the mattress, without sun and adequate airing (there has always been a mattress protector on top), will turn into mold/fungus, whether you're using the latex top or not.
** Mine is latex top.
Meaning, for the sake of health, change your mattress every few years = don't buy expensive ones. And pillows every 2 years, because our drool and/or human sweat and/or sebum are trapped in it.
Various health issues can ensue e.g sinus, skin issues, ENT (ears, nose, throat) infections without knowing why.
Shop less and save the money for the right stuff. Certain things cannot be saved.
Because we cannot see mites, molds and fungus, but they can see us very well. :)
